Sheldon Cooper’s Meemaw Brisket Recipe

Classic Meemaw Brisket

Ingredients:

Young Sheldon: Meemaw’s Brisket Recipe (Season Episode Clip) TBS

4 lbs. beef brisket
1 onion, sliced
1 cup beef broth
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 325°F.
Season brisket with salt and pepper.
Place sliced onions in the bottom of a roasting pan and place brisket on top.
In a bowl, mix together beef broth, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic. Pour over brisket.
Cover with foil and bake for 3-4 hours, or until meat is tender.
Let brisket rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Meemaw’s BBQ Brisket Sliders

Ingredients:

1 lb. cooked Meemaw brisket, shredded
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
12 slider buns
1 cup coleslaw

Instructions:

In a skillet, heat shredded brisket with BBQ sauce until warmed through.
Toast slider buns in the oven or on a skillet.
Assemble sliders by placing brisket on the bottom bun, topping with coleslaw, and placing the top bun.
Secure with toothpicks and serve hot.

Meemaw’s Brisket Tacos

Ingredients:

1 lb. cooked Meemaw brisket, sliced thinly
8 small flour tortillas
1 cup salsa
1 avocado, diced
1/2 cup shredded cheese

Instructions:

Warm tortillas in a skillet or microwave.
Fill each tortilla with sliced brisket.
Top with salsa, avocado, and cheese.
Wrap and serve immediately.
